The word “Cement” is based on the Latin word “caementum” (=rubblestone). Cement is a material which when mix with water binds together solid bodies (aggregate) from a plastic state to rock solid.It is also defined as adhesive substance capable of uniting fragments or masses of solid matter to a compact whole.Cement product is prepared by grinding of clinker with some gypsum into a fine powder.


Clinker is a coarse agglomerate of minerals that is produced by burning raw meal; consist of mixture of raw materials like oxides of Calcium, Silicon, Aluminium & Iron, at a very high temperature in a specialised kiln system.
